Downloading your Schwab statement for Schedule FA
Schwab issues your statements as PDFs. You don’t convert or re-key anything — the PDF drops straight into an upload as-is.
Where to look
Three steps, on schwab.com
- From schwab.com, open Statements for your EAC/brokerage account.
- Download each monthly/quarterly PDF statementthat falls in the calendar year you’re filing (and the Year-End Summary, if issued).
- Drop the PDFs in as-is — no conversion needed.
Why it matters
One statement per lot's calendar year
Schedule FA runs on the calendar year (1 Jan – 31 Dec), not the April–March financial year the rest of your ITR uses — so grab every statement that falls inside the calendar year you’re filing, plus the Year-End Summary if Schwab issued one. If you held a lot bought in an earlier year, you’ll also need that year’s statement to get its real purchase date and cost — see the guide’s note on one row per lot.
Have your PDFs? Upload them as-is.
No conversion needed. We read the PDF directly and build every Table A2/A3 row from it — see the full method for how.
