Exporting your IBKR Activity Statement for Schedule FA
Interactive Brokers issues an Activity Statement as a CSV. Export the annual one for the calendar year you’re filing — it drops straight into an upload as-is.
Where to look
Three steps, in IBKR Client Portal
- In IBKR Client Portal, open Performance & Reports → Statements → Activity.
- Set Period → Annualand pick the calendar year you’re filing.
- Click Download CSV (not PDF or HTML).
Why it matters
CSV, not PDF or HTML
The Annual CSV is what carries the per-lot detail (dates, quantities, prices, dividends) our engine reads — a PDF or HTML export of the same period doesn’t. If you held a lot bought in an earlier year, export that year’s statement too, so its real purchase date and cost carry forward — see the guide’s note on one row per lot.
